The New Rules of Procedure of the EPO Boards of Appeal

22nd June 2020 @ 11 am CET

Since 1 January 2020, the EPO Boards of Appeal have new Rules of Procedure (RPBA) in force that make it much more difficult to get new documents, lines of attack or defense and claim requests admitted into the appeal proceedings. This has significant impact on the management of both first instance and appeal examination and opposition proceedings.

In this webinar we will discuss:

  • The most important changes in the new RPBA
  • Implications for the parties to appeal proceedings
  • Implications for the first instance proceedings
  • Best practice tipps
  • First experiences and case law under the new RPBA

Why you should attend:

Please join us for this informative webinar, which will not only explain the most important changes to the RPBA, but also allow you to assess the implications for your own opposition and appeal cases, including identifying immediate “To Do’s” and future strategic considerations.
