Prof. Dr. Michael Beurskens is Professor of Private Law, in particular Business Law and Digitalization, at the University of Passau. He is also head of the Master's degree program “Legal Informatics” and the Bachelor's degree program “Legal Tech”. As one of the leading academics at the interface of law and technology, he focuses on the integration of digitalization into legal practice and commercial law. With his many years of experience and research on digital business models, data protection and IP law, he has significantly shaped the debate on the modernization of legal education and practice. This includes potential usage scenarios of Artificial Intelligence and implications to trade secrecy and privacy protection.
