Fabian Losch is a European Patent Attorney and founder of LOSCH IP. Drawing on experience in both industry and private practice, he understands the IP challenges of small technology-driven businesses as well as large industrial organisations. His work has covered various fields from household appliances to medical devices, electric mobility to industrial sized hydrogen plants. Having contributed to the development of in-house IP structures, he helps companies transform implicit technical knowledge into structured, decision-ready IP assets. Through LOSCH IP, he supports the professionalisation of IP processes based on DIN 77006, a German quality framework for systematic IP management — enabling faster, more consistent and better-founded patent decisions.

On Stage

Turning Ideas into Decision-Ready IP

In-house AI Search for Better Filing Decisions

The session will open with Gargee Patankar from PatSeer introducing IP8, a product of PatSeer, including its upcoming features. IP8 is an AI-powered patent infringement detection and monetization platform that uses agentic AI and continuous product surveillance to identify potentially infringing products worldwide and generate data-backed Evidence of Use reports. By automating high-value patent detection, infringing product discovery, periodic monitoring and evidence collection, IP8 reduces manual search, lowers costs, and unlocks new revenue opportunities for patent portfolios.

The presentation will show how in-house IP teams can move from incomplete invention disclosures to faster and better-founded patent filing decisions. Using  practical industrial use case, the session will demonstrate how AI-assisted patent search and analysis in PatSeer can support the early-stage assessment of technical ideas: structuring the invention, identifying relevant prior art, enriching weak disclosures, and preparing decision-ready input for patent drafting and portfolio management. The focus is not on replacing professional judgement, but on improving the operational quality, speed and consistency of invention review processes. The presentation connects AI-supported patent intelligence with systematic IP management, patent quality, and the human factor in working with inventors.
